Terms of Participation

These Terms of Participation apply to all attendees, ticket holders, performers, traders, contractors, volunteers and participants attending Berko Fields in Berkhamsted.
By purchasing a ticket, entering the festival site, or participating in the event, you agree to comply with these terms.
1. Admission
Entry is only permitted with a valid ticket or authorised accreditation.
The festival reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any person from the site at its discretion.
Tickets may not be exchanged, refunded or resold for commercial gain unless stated otherwise by the organiser.
Attendees may be required to show valid identification upon entry.
2. Conduct & Behaviour
All attendees are expected to behave respectfully towards:
Other guests
Festival staff
Artists and performers
Contractors, vendors and volunteers
The local community and surrounding environment
The following may result in removal from the festival without refund:
Aggressive, abusive or threatening behaviour
Harassment or discrimination of any kind
Dangerous or illegal activity
Excessive intoxication
Damage to festival property or surrounding land
Failure to follow safety instructions from festival staff or security
3. Safety & Security
Security checks and bag searches may be carried out upon entry.
Prohibited items may include weapons, illegal substances, fireworks, flares, lasers or any item deemed unsafe by organisers.
The festival reserves the right to confiscate prohibited items.
Attendees must comply with all health and safety procedures while on site.
Participation in the festival is at your own risk.
4. Alcohol & Drugs
Illegal drugs and psychoactive substances are strictly prohibited.
Alcohol may only be consumed in accordance with UK licensing laws and designated festival policies.
Any person found supplying illegal substances or acting unlawfully may be removed and reported to the police.
5. Children & Young Persons
Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult unless otherwise stated.
Parents and guardians remain responsible for minors attending the festival.
Certain areas or activities may have age restrictions.
6. Photography, Filming & Media
By attending Berko Fields, you acknowledge that photography, filming and audio recording may take place throughout the event.
Festival organisers may use this content for:
Marketing and promotional purposes
Social media
Press and editorial coverage
Future festival advertising
If you have concerns regarding identifiable imagery, please contact festival staff.
7. Weather & Event Changes
Berko Fields is an outdoor event and will take place in most weather conditions.
The organisers reserve the right to:
Change the line-up, schedule or programme
Alter site layouts or facilities
Delay, interrupt or cancel parts of the event where necessary for safety or operational reasons
No guarantees are made regarding specific artists, performances or attractions.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
Berko Fields accepts no responsibility for personal injury, loss, theft or damage to personal property while attending the festival.
Vehicles and belongings are left at the owner’s risk.
Attendees are responsible for their own personal insurance where appropriate.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
9. Environmental Responsibility
Attendees are expected to respect the festival site and surrounding countryside by:
Using bins and recycling facilities provided
Avoiding littering
Respecting local residents and wildlife
Following any sustainability initiatives introduced by the festival
10. Accessibility
Berko Fields aims to create an inclusive environment for all attendees. Accessibility information and assistance options will be published on the festival website.
11. Data Protection
Personal information collected in relation to ticket purchases, registrations or communications will be handled in accordance with the Berko Fields Privacy Policy.
12. Amendments
Berko Fields reserves the right to amend these Terms of Participation at any time. Updated versions will be published on the official website.
